Frog hunters - Froeschesammler

Wir waren ans unserem See und die Kinder hatten viel Spass beim Froeschesammeln. We spend a day at our favorite lake and the kids had lots of fun hunting for frogs.

Meine zwei suessen Jungs, Gabriel ist fuenf und kommt im September in die Schule. My cute boys,  Gabriel turned 5 in July and starts school in September.

Summer pleasure- Sommerfreuden

Der Evan hat diesen Sommer schwimmen gelernt und ich bin sehr stolz auf ihn.
Evan learned swimming this summer and I am very proud of him.

Bibi`s baby shower

Meine Nichte bekommt im September ein Baby. In Kanada ist es Gang und Gebe fuer das erstgeborene Kind eine Babyshower zu machen. Eine Babyshower, ist eine Ueberaschungsparty fuer die Mutter die von Freuden und Verwanden organisiert wird, die zusemmenkommen um zu feieren und viele Babygeschenke fuer die werdenden Eltern und das Kind mitbringen. Eine Babyshower ist genial, weil sie die Eltern fast komplett mit allen notwendigen Dingen ausruestet. Bibis Mama (meine Schwaegerin), hat sich ganz viel Arbeit gemacht mit suesser Dekoration, Windeln auf denen man Witze schreibt, leckerem Essen etc und mein Schwager hat Seifen in Form von kleinen Fuesschen und Babyflaschen gemacht.

My niece is expecting a baby in September. In Canada it is custom to hold a baby shower for the expecting mother. A babyshower is usually a surprise party organized by friends and or family where everybody gets together to celebrate the expecting parents providing them with gifts for the baby to come.
I find this custom fantastic as it equips the expecting parents with almost everything they need. As you can see from the pictures my sister in law made wonderful decorations, and delicious food and my brother in law even made small soaps in baby feet and baby bottle form. We were writing funny things on diapers so that the parents have something to read in the future. It was lots of fun.
